Born in Porto on 23 September 1951, began his activity in the oil painting on canvas in 1979. He moved to Vila Nova de Gaia in 2000 where his atelier is located and where he has lived ever since. Since the 80's he devoted himself mainly to painting on aluminum support.
Painter who attended a free course of painting in the "Árvore" cooperative in 1986, managed by Acácio de Carvalho.
His first exhibition was held in 1991 encouraged by Jean Yves Simon.
